Lived-in cities.
Played-out lives.
Hopeless is one of the biggest and most popular serious roleplay servers around — a packed city full of stories, factions, and people who actually show up.
Hopeless is a massive, thriving whitelisted city with a packed roster, a serious tone, and the kind of momentum that only happens when hundreds of players keep showing up for the same world night after night.
The character you apply with on day one should still be the character you log in as a year later — and you'll always have a full city of people to play it with. Every system on the server — economy, jobs, factions, crime — scales with the crowd.

Big enough
to feel
truly alive.
A booming population means every bar is packed, every shop has walk-ins, and every beat has units on it. Wherever you go in the city, something is already happening.
Custom maps, custom interiors, a deep economy, and a queue of players waiting to get in. Nothing on the server exists for the sake of a feature list — it's here because the community uses it.

Hand-picked.
No exceptions.
Every member goes through a written application and an interview. We're not looking for veterans — we're looking for people who take character work seriously and stick with it. Thousands have applied, and the bar keeps rising.
Toxicity, OOC drama, and powergaming get handled fast. The standard is set by the people already here — and with a community this big, it's a standard you'll feel from your first scene.
In their
own words.
3 voices“Six months in and I still get nervous walking into Bahama Mamas. That doesn't happen on other servers.”
“Staff actually reads the application. Mine got pushed back twice before I got the interview. Worth it.”
“I came for the cars. I stayed because my mechanic shop has regulars who know my name.”
Three rules we won't break.
Story over stats
Mechanics serve the roleplay. If a feature would let players skip the story to grind a number, we don't ship it.
Continuity matters
Characters don't reset. Consequences carry. The version of your character from last month is part of the canon now.
Grow with care
We're one of the biggest servers around, and we plan to stay that way — by raising the bar on who gets in, not by cutting corners on quality.
Three steps. No shortcuts.
Apply
Sign in with Discord and submit a written application. Tell us who your character is, where they came from, and where you want to take them.
Interview
If your application stands out, staff invites you to a voice interview. This is a conversation, not a quiz — we want to hear you.
Whitelist
Approved members get whitelisted and pointed at onboarding. Your first scene is in your hands from the moment you connect.

Write the
first scene.
Join thousands of players who already call this city home. Applications take about ten minutes — we read every one carefully.
